In addition to our aircraft management and charter services, Gama has a strong history in the provision of various specialist aviation services to Government bodies and commercial organisations.
Since 1993 Gama has worked closely with the UK National Health Service, through its contract with the Scottish Ambulance Service. Having initially provided one Beech 200 Super King Air for the provision of High Dependency Patient Transport Services, Gama now provides the entire Air Ambulance fleet for the Service, with two Beech 200C Super King Airs, two Eurocopter EC135T2 and one Eurocopter AS332N Super Puma helicopters. The service operates 24 hours a day, 365 days a year from our bases in Aberdeen, Glasgow, Inverness and Sumburgh and is currently carrying in excess of 3,000 patients a year.
Gama's specialist aviation division is also heavily involved in Aerial Survey work on a variety of platforms.
