Aviation

Every year thousands of people are repatriated back to the United Kingdom by Air Ambulance. Gama has been at the forefront of repatriation services for 20 years, from our first Beech Baron ambulance flight to today's ambulance fleet utilising Beechcraft King Air 200 aircraft offering ideal range and airfield capabilities.

We have the ability to be airborne from base within one hour of an emergency call and our success in this area has led to our long-term contract with the Scottish Ambulance Service providing 24-hour high dependency care.

The current fleet can be fitted with either a single or double stretcher, both using the Lifeport system(c) and provides accommodation for up to five medical personnel. We also regularly carry out flights at short notice in the movement of organs for transplant.

In addition, we can provide full medical support for transfers, including inflight Doctors and Nurses from the UK's leading teaching hospitals who will arrange all medical care, transfers and liaison between hospitals.
